🛫 Introducing Readyset QueryPilot: Zero-Touch Caching for OLTP Workloads

We’re excited to announce the public beta for Readyset QueryPilot for MySQL, our smart database scaling solution that automatically caches high-impact OLTP queries. No code changes. No manual tuning.

QueryPilot analyzes live traffic in real time, identifies expensive queries, and routes them through Readyset’s high-performance cache. All it takes is a single connection change. It’s built for high-velocity workloads, whether you’re building new vibe-coded apps or scaling legacy systems.

Readyset Core

• Smarter Joins, Faster Results: We introduced a new join algorithm for straddled joins(predicates appear on both sides of the join) that executes these joins with reduced memory usage and dramatically faster lookups.
• Fewer Resnapshots, More Uptime: We fixed a bug that caused Readyset to unnecessarily re-snapshot MySQL tables created during replication. Schema changes are now smoother, with less disruption and faster catch-up.
• Precision with Large Decimals: Added full support for arbitrarily large DECIMAL and NUMERIC in both MySQL and Postgres. This includes correct handling of NaN values, so you can cache and replicate high-precision workloads reliably.
• Fine-Grained Snapshot Control: You can now configure how many MySQL tables Readyset snapshots in parallel using the --max-parallel-snapshot-tables flag (or its environment variable). This gives teams more flexibility to optimize snapshot speed versus resource consumption.
• Stronger Defaults, Safer Deployments: We added a magic number to inter-domain communication to ensure Readyset rejects unexpected or malicious connections, further hardening security for multi-component deployments.
