Readyset MySQL Interactive Demo

In November, we launched our interactive demo for Postgres, and we're excited to announce that the demo is now live for MySQL as well!

With a pre-configured setup—including a client, Readyset cache, and demo database—seeing Readyset in action is easier than ever. Just create a Readyset Cloud account, follow the easy step-by-step guide, and experience blazing-fast performance.

Readyset Cloud

• Enhanced user interface to integrate seamlessly with the VPC peering workflow, improving interactions and overall user experience.
• Enabled S3 bucket backups in production, improving data safety and ensuring reliable backup options.
• Implemented point-in-time backups for DynamoDB, allowing users to recover data at any specific point in time.
• Added SQL formatting in the Test Readyset modal, enhancing usability by making it easier for users to read and debug queries.
• Improved cluster failure reporting during deployment, providing users with more transparent and timely notifications for better troubleshooting.
• Refined visual and interaction elements, offering a more cohesive and user-friendly experience through typography updates and better loading states.

Readyset Core

• Improved replication performance by discarding unnecessary events earlier in the process.
• Added support for snapshotting new tables without requiring a restart of the adapter, improving flexibility and minimizing downtime for better table management.
  • The new command accepts a comma list of tables: ALTER READYSET ADD TABLES .<table_name1>, .<table_name2>.
• Fixed issues preventing connection and replication from a MySQL 5.7 instance.
• Enhanced MySQL snapshot performance by removing the need for an exact row count, increasing efficiency and reducing complexity.
• Fixed an issue to forward COM_PING to the backend connection, ensuring stable connections.
